Gibson Nkanaunena, President

Gibson Nkanaunena serves as Director of the Developing Countries Unit at World Relief, providing oversight for country leadership teams in Burundi, Cambodia, Kenya, Malawi, and Rwanda. Prior to this role, he served as Country Director for World Relief Malawi for nine years and has been with the organization since 2004.

Gibson is passionate about church-led holistic ministry, transformational community development, leadership development, and sustainable agriculture and irrigation. He is inspired by grassroots solutions that empower communities to address their own challenges and improve livelihoods.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Agricultural Engineering) and a Master’s degree in Agroforestry from the University of Malawi, as well as a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University in Philadelphia. Gibson is an elder at Falls Assemblies of God Church and lives with his wife and three children.

Dr. Donald Reuben Kamdonyo

Dr. Donald Reuben Kamdonyo is a climate change and environmental policy expert with decades of leadership experience in Malawi’s environmental sector. He previously served for 12 years as head of Malawi’s Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services, where he was the national focal point for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Malawi’s Permanent Representative to the World Meteorological Organization.

Dr. Kamdonyo holds a PhD in Change Management from Rushmore University, an MSc in Climatology and Applied Meteorology from the University of Birmingham, and a BSc in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri. He is currently a senior associate at Kamdonyo & Associates, a consulting firm focused on climate change, natural resources, and organizational change.

He is also an author and advocate for renewable energy solutions, including wind energy.

Henry James Kumwenda

Henry James Kumwenda is a leader in faith-based development and community mobilization in Malawi. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Education from African Bible College and a Master of Science in Leadership and Change Management from Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Transformational Leadership at Bakke Graduate University.

Henry has served with several organizations including Children of the Nations and the Evangelical Association of Malawi, where he worked in church mobilization, disaster response, and community development initiatives across Malawi.

He later served with the Luis Palau Association as Director of Logistics in Africa, supporting large-scale evangelistic outreach and church partnership efforts. Henry is passionate about leadership development, community transformation, and serving vulnerable populations.
